Kalani is a photojournalist currently based in Eugene, Oregon with a focus on sports photography. Kalani is attending the University of Oregon where he majors in journalism and cinema studies. 

It was in college where Kalani discovered that he wanted to tell stories through images. For the past year, he has shot Oregon Ducks Athletics.  

Kalani has had his sports work published on KVAL, KMTR, and KPIC. He also assists the communications team at the UO Northwest Indigenous Language Institute.
